Photos: A man in a costume

Most of my photographs feature either a landmark or a woman. I didn't want to be accused of favoring just one category of people. The Venetian Carnival provided an opportunity. Most of the people wore masks which made it harder to photograph them. The masks has holes where eyes should be, enabling the wearer to see the world. But most of the holes doesn't allow light to fall on the eyes. Eventually, you have two dark holes staring at you. The subject in the photograph decided not to wear the mask. He was also kind enough to pose for the photograph.

  1. I don't know why, but he reminds me of a character from the Scarlet Pimpernal ! Brilliant capture, Nona.
