While married men would emphatically state that their problems started the day they got married, there is also the other side of the coin. Some people can't find a life partner. Pappettan and I ran into such a person one day. The person was a friend, and his face showed stress. Seeing the tired look on his face, Pappettan came forward to help.
Pappettan: *gently* You look worried.
Friend: *abruptly* Yes, I am.
Pappettan: *waits*
Friend: *angrily* Look around you. Everyone is getting married. But I can't find the right person.
Pappettan: *after a pause* Do you want to settle down?
Friend: *looks to check if Pappettan is testing him* Yes... I would.
Pappettan: *smiles* There is a way.
Friend: *not convinced* Is there?
Pappettan: *calmly* There is. Would you like to know?
Friend: *interested* Yes...please.
Pappettan: *explains* Book the wedding hall. The rest will fall into place.
Friend: *confused* What?
Pappettan: *continues* Take a bold step. Book the hall. The rest will automatically happen.
A few months later, I came across a photo taken during this friend's wedding.

This is HILARIOUS!! Pressure building at its best!!
ReplyDeleteDon't look at it as pressure. You are having a stake in the whole thing. You are bound to lose money if you don't take it seriously. Once you realize this, everything else will fall in place. :)
