Canyon lake lies on the Apache Trail, officially known as AZ 88. The name originates from the Apache Indians, who used this route. AZ 88 is a scenic drive. The road winds displaying hills and mountains with desert vegetation, showing us gorges, valleys, and lakes.
The photo captures a boat speeding across the Canyon lake captured against the backdrop of a mountain. Even though it was the final days of winter, it was hot and sunny in the desert. The mountains looked majestic and made you wonder about the Grand Canyon. If these mountains look formidable, how would the Grand Canyon look? I guess I can save it for another day.
