Pappettan and his valentine

When I met Pappettan yesterday, February 14th featured in our conversation. Falling on a weekday, I was pretty sure Pappettan had spent the evening alone. But I was in a for a surprise.

Pappettan: I had company on that night.

Me: *not buying it* yeah right.

Pappettan: I cooked. Food and wine... We even toasted looking into each other's eyes.

Me: *confused at first, then smiles sensing a scandal* So who was it?

Pappettan: A special person. *thinks and then talks with dragging out each word* A...very..special...person.

Me: * waiting eagerly for more information*

Pappettan: I stood in front of the mirror, raised my glass and toasted. That was my company. You know what? The person in the mirror also toasted... looking straight into my eyes.

Me: *slams my head against the wall*

      :) Let's hope Pappettan see this comment soon. Yes, I missed him too. But the new year has been hectic so far that I never got time to write about Pappettan.
